Felsted Decorative
and Fine Arts Society
is part of
The National Association of Decorative and
Fine Arts
NADFAS is an Arts based educational
charity with over 300 societies and 85,000
members world-wide. The Association has as
its objects "The promotion and advancement
of the aesthetic education of the public,
the cultivation, appreciation and study of
the decorative and fine arts, and the giving
of aid to the preservation of our national
artistic heritage for the benefit of the public":
Our aim is to LEARN about
the decorative and fine arts; to GIVE
by joining a local Church Recording Group,
Heritage Volunteers or helping with a Young
Arts group, to STUDY by taking
part in study days and to experience
FRIENDSHIP through our shared interests.
The joy of learning and the knowledge that
the volunteer activities are repaying the
Arts for some of the enjoyment members are
experienced creates a warm bond whenever NADFAS
members meet. NADFAS is a
world-wide association based on a love of
the Arts and a sense of comradeship founded
on a shared journey of discovery. Our founder,
Patricia Fay, said "ABOVE ALL,
NADFAS MUST BE FUN".
